M. Sébastien Minot

Deputy Director Africa Department – Senior Foreign Affairs Advisor

Sébastien Minot is a graduate of ENS (Ulm Lettres 1991) and ENA (Cyrano de Bergerac).

He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he first served five years in Paris, in the Asia and Oceania Department (China desk officer) and later in the Directorate general for Political Affairs (Common Foreign and Security Policy Department).

From 2004 to 2008, he was assigned to the French Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire, as a political advisor and then as Deputy Head of Mission.

From 2008 to 2012, he headed the press and communication office of the French Embassy in Italy.

On his return to Paris, he was appointed deputy director for Central Africa in the Department for Africa and the Indian Ocean.

In November 2018, he was seconded to AFD as Deputy Director for Africa. He is also Correspondant for the Mediterranean within the Executive Direction of Operations.
