DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
The CMQ 4meD project aims to create an ecosystem of training that meets the needs of the regional territory in terms of professional skills in the maritime sector. The region has an unemployment rate above the national average. As the leading maritime region in France, with 120,000 jobs, the sea is a lever of favoured response to reduce unemployment. The action of CMQ 4meD focuses primarily on short-staffed sectors, and the integration of the digital dimension to these educational responses.
LEADERS OF THE PROJECT
The University of Toulon et du Var initiated the dynamic campus of the sea, it is now the legitimate leader of this regional dynamic.

The CMQ 4meD unites a training offer organised around key regional players. It will oversee an innovative pedagogical offer and propose an individual training course. For this, it aims to raise awareness, attract, guide, train, advertise and retain skills across 3 structuring axes:
- The digital transformation of the naval professions;
- Increased qualifications related to maritime data;
- Human mobilisation for the safety of digital uses.
The project aims at the Mediterranean region, integrating curricula and exchanges initiatives with Euro-Mediterranean and international organisations. It proposes a deployment of renewed training courses to reinforce the Economy of the sea within the remit of industrial development. It will be articulated with the MedPorts association to develop knowledge and dissemination of training and skills around the Mediterranean basin.
Launched in autumn 2016, the project entered an operational phase in season 2018. The year 2019 has enabled the project to be deployed with a new goal, which is part of an application submitted to the AAP PIA3 Innovation Pedagogique in January 2020
