DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
ALSEAMAR is a designer and manufacturer of naval and submarine products (underwater glider, submarine boosters, naval radiocommunication antenna systems, deep sea underwater buoyancy products), and service provider (submarine monitoring, obsolescence treatment and modernisation of naval weapons system, and training)
Merger of three companies, ACSA, ATOB and BMTI, in 2014 to concentrate, under the name of Alseamar, the naval and underwater activities of the Alcen group in the Naval Defence, offshore oil and oceanography markets. 85 employees and 14.5 million Euros in turnover, 50% of which is from export
Funding requirement: Between EUR 3M and 5M
Xplorer gliders: surveillance service of wide sea areas by family of underwater gliders: SeaExplorer (1,000m), DeepExplorer (3,000m).
Near-real-time processing of scientific data collected by gliders in the water column: deep oceanography, environmental protection of coastal areas, upstream exploration for offshore oil.
Available today with SeaExplorer gliders: passive acoustic monitoring of coastal waters. Measurement of the impact of global warming, noise pollution of large cities on the fishing resource, near real-time 3D control of discharges at sea from the treatment of rainwater and wastewater
DeepExplorer, prototype already made, seeking funding for its industrialisation: to go deeper down from 1,000m (SeaExplorer) to 3,000m (DeepExplorer) depth to measure the impacts of global warming and human activity (commercial vessels, etc.) on resources of the entire Mediterranean basin.
